The development of a building program is one of the most critical moments in the design of a building. The central purpose of programming is to identify the mature of the problems associated with a particular project. The programming process must focus on seeking problems, not the solutions. As a studio we returned to the studio armed with new knowledge and a hypothesis on a particular urban system or issue in regard with previous research projects in the beginning of the semester.
